Melt and Pour Soap Bases

Melt and pour soap is a type of soap that is made by melting a pre-made soap base and then adding color, fragrance, and other desired ingredients. This type of soap is easy to make and can be customized to suit any preference. Melt and pour soap is a popular choice for handmade soap because it does not require any special equipment or knowledge to make.  To make soap using melt and pour soap, you need a soap base, any additives that you want to add to your soap to customize it (such as essential oils, fragrance oils, dried herbs, and colorants), and a soap mold.  You will also need a way to melt your soap.  You may want to have a knife so that you can cut your soap base into smaller chunks (this will make it easier to melt). You will need to use a double boiler and a stove or a microwave.  And last but not least, you need a tool like a spatula to stir your soap and gently scoop it into your soap mold(s).
